We are searching for a Sales and Use Tax Analyst. In this role, you would ensure that the company is in compliance with all state and local sales and use tax regulations and filings. This position is responsible for continuously improving the sales and use tax work flow processes. This employee is also responsible and accountable for supervising the preparation of the required state and local sales tax filings as well as being the point of contact for any sales and use tax audits including internal sales and use tax inquiries. Additionally, this function will also help process state income tax informational requests as well as prepare any government reporting requests.

Company is privately held and has over 900 employees.


• College degree preferred. Working knowledge of sales and use tax compliance is a must
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required; Proficient knowledge of financial systems and spreadsheet applications
• Possess good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated individual that requires minimal supervision
• Must have good presentation and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate in English
• Must be proficient on a ten-key calculator


• Accurate and timely filing of all state and local sales tax returns
• Update state sales tax rates
• Review the need for sales tax software, and prepare recommendations
• Ensure compliance for collecting and remitting all necessary state and local sales tax
• Prepare nexus analysis and review with management to ensure compliance
• Complete internal state tax audits and implement corrective action
• Continuously improve the sales and use tax work flow process
• Research state and local tax laws especially for new ship-to locations
• Assist in the preparation of business tax incentive filings
• Develop procedures and work with the appropriate personnel to improve the accuracy of use tax paid
• Research and answer all state income tax inquiries
• Prepare any required governmental reporting requests
• Administer short pay credits related to sales tax
• Contact customers for collection of prior sales tax short pays
• Creation and maintenance of sales tax guide reflecting filing and nexus status for each state
• Assist in year-end tax preparation schedules
• Backup for the filing of all sales and use tax returns

Location & Compensation:

The position will be based in Brookfield, WI. This is a full-time position available for immediate hire and a meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate which includes a bonus component.
